A rapper by the name LMB Letrece (29 years old) is making a huge comeback in the music industry. Growing up in Southside San Jose, he either wanted to be in sports or a rapper. In high school, he started taking basketball seriously, but later found a greater passion for music and decided to pursue it. Coming from music backgrounds, his stepbrother and cousins had a huge influence in him starting a music career. During his journey as an artist, he worked with Cali Live Productions and was able to book many shows in which he coheadlined for T-pain, 2Chainz, and many more famous artists. He has been featured on the well-known media entertainment company, Thizzler on the Roof and has songs hitting over millions of streams. For about two to three years, he went through a rough patch and had stopped making music. However, in 2017, he was able to get back on his feet and his music career once again took off. He knew he made it when he was doing shows and seeing the crowd enjoy his music. People would come up to him to ask for his autograph and take pictures whenever he would go out in public places. He appreciates the love he gets from fans and it’s one of the reasons that pushed him to make music again. I asked him a couple questions to learn more about how he is as an artist, and this is what he had to say:
Where do you see your music career in five years?
“I have learned that it is more than just music. It is a brand and I feel that as I build up myself as a brand it will push my music to the next level. I will be on a whole other level. I plan to work with a lot bigger artists and hopefully start a nationwide tour.
What are your greatest strengths as an artist… like what makes you stand out to the rest?
“Well, the first and most important is my work ethic, once I am in my zone, I can knock out a lot of songs. I can rap on any beat, but my choice of beats is what makes my music stand out… that’s why there’s a lot of diversity in my songs.”
What are your top inspirations?
“The people that depend on me… there’s a lot of weight on my back. Whenever I see progress in my music or career it is very motivating. My fans inspire me… and everyone making music and doing their thing motivates me as well.”
What advice would you give other people looking to start off their music career?
“Be willing to listen. Have an open ear. Be outside… sometimes I get my inspiration from being out and pay attention to my surroundings. Be humble. Be ready to work. Stay dangerous.”

LMB Letrece’s most listened song is called Die Alone with over 1.5 million views combined on all platforms. His most recent song called Broke Flexin and its music video just dropped a couple weeks ago with already over 20,000 streams. Besides music, he is currently running a clothing brand called Losses Make Bosses which you guys should definitely check out. I am extremely honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to interview him. He is such a humble guy and very passionate about his music and fashion brand.
